# Layout and Common Functions
The **Dashboard** is where all the monitoring activity carried out by VirtualMetric can be found.
The sections available on the dashboard are:
1. The top bar to access the Dashboard pages
2. The Main Dashboard area to show various reports and charts called widgets
3. The left menu to navigate between pages
4. Current alarms grouped by their severity
5. The control section to provide options for reports and charts
VirtualMetric uses the same layout on all reporting and monitoring pages.
## Search
You can search clusters, servers, datastores, and objects via the search bar. Click the **Magnifier** (🔍) button to enable the search bar.
Type your search criteria (*IP*, *Hostname*, *Clustername*, etc.) to see the results. You can click the found objects to navigate to them.
## Resize
You can resize the elements.
## Move
You can change the elements' positions.
## Remove
You can remove any of the elements.
## Export
You can export the widgets and their data.
Click on the **Export** button to see the chart export options. Here, you can find the following:
* **Export Raw**: Export the usage data in CSV format
* **Export Json**: Export the chart source in JSON format
* **Export PNG**: Export the chart itself in PNG format
* **Export Widget**: Export the widget itself in JSON format
* **Clone Widget**: Create a clone of the widget
* **Export Query**: Export the query that fetches the data
* **Export SQL**: Export the SQL for the query
## Expand Widget
Expanding the widget opens it on a new tab.
## Zoom Y-axis
You can zoom in or out to the Y axis.
## Filter
You can filter the data displayed by the widget.
The columns in the widget can be filtered.
## Search Objects
Users can search objects on the dashboard.
## Dashboard Operations
Right-clicking the dashboard shows the following available operations:
* **Add to Favorites**: Selecting a dashboard as a favorite displays it under the favorites tab on left panel
* **Add to Playlist**: Dashboards added to a *playlist* rotate when the list is played
* **Rename**: Change the name of the dashboard
* **Clone**: Duplicate the dashboard
* **Copy**: Copy the dashboard to other users, groups, or everyone.
* **Share**: You can share the dashboard with your organization or with everyone
* **Scheduler**: You can schedule actions for the dashboard
* **Export**: Export the dashboard. This will generate a JSON file
* **Expand**: Display the dashboard in fullscreen mode
* **Reset**: Reset the dashboard, i.e. remove all modifications
* **Delete**: Delete the dashboard
