# Module Defaults Operations

You can update inventory collector definitions for modules, so when you assign a module to servers, VirtualMetric Collector will use these settings to collect data.

1\.      Click to **Module Defaults** on the left pane.

2\.      Click on Inventory Collector or stats collector button to modify one of the Module Defaults.

3\.      Choose the definitions you want from the definition list field, then click **">>"** to move it to the enabled definitions field and then click the **Submit** button. Now the selected definition will be added to that module. To **remove** a definition, click on the definition, and then click the **"<<"** button.

4\.       Click the **SUBMIT** to apply changes.
