Add New API User

To create a new API user, you should go to API Users under Users menu.

1. Click to API Users on the left pane to navigate to the User Settings.

2. On API Management screen, click Add (+) button on the right top section.

3. Enter API User properties, then click Submit button.

Fields	Descriptions
Username	You will use this username to login for VirtualMetric API requests.
Role	You can use following user roles: Admin: Full access on all servers and clusters. Admin role can query/update all System Settings, Notification Rules, Device Groups etc. User: Monitoring access on selected servers and clusters. User role can not query/update System Settings, Notification Rules, Device Groups etc. Read Only: Only can see the dashboard's.
Description	Description for the API User. This is an extra explanation area for API User. You can add details like role of API User, or customer information like name etc.
Password	Password for the written username
Status	Status of API user. If you make it Disabled, then the API user will not be able to login for VirtualMetric API requests. You can change user status to Active / Disabled anytime.
Timezone	Timezone of new API User
